LAYKA

I start read National Geographic magazine last year, 2014. It contains a lot of information, useful and enrich my knowledge. And I saw an Editorial note that attracts me " A Soldier's Best Friend ", and taught me that how faithful is "Layka" towards his friend Sergeant Staff McDonald.

A Soldier’s Best Friend ( http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2014/06/editors-note)

Layka, the dog pictured on our cover and here, was two when she was sent to help clear an enemy compound in Afghanistan. During her search she was shot by enemy forces and took four rounds from an AK-47 at point-blank range. Despite her injuries, she attacked and subdued the shooter, protecting her handler, Staff Sgt. Julian McDonald, and other members of the team. It took seven hours of surgery, including the amputation of a limb, to save her. In 2012 Layka was presented with a medal of heroism and adopted by McDonald, who now trains dogs and their handlers at Fort Benning, Georgia.
Our cover story, “The Dogs of War,” is about a special bond. Dogs have been our best friends for at least 14,000 years. The relationship is in our genes and theirs. When it comes to the dogs of war, the stakes couldn’t be higher. The penalty for a misstep by either partner can be injury or death. The U.S. military deploys more than 500 dogs worldwide at any given time. Each year a few are killed in action.
When Layka bounded out of the van that delivered her to Sergeant McDonald’s home—a special brace allows her to run as if she’d never lost a leg—she instantly recognized him, even though they’d been together only a month before she was shot. “Her excitement brought me to tears,” McDonald says. “She was the sole reason why I was living and breathing and able to come home to my son and wife.”

From that above story, what I can say is how FAITHFUL is layka towards his best friend. Despite risking his own life, he starts attacking the enemy when he know his best friend is in danger. Regarding that heroic story, we can learn something that sometimes we have forgotten about it. It called FAITHFULNESS.
Just this morning, I heard some story from the speaker of my church. He said that you cannot judge a person from his outside. He was mentioning about an official man in his previous church, that man was very good in a church. Joining so many voluntary things in the church, but who knows that official cheats behind his own wife. In this day, we can see many unfaithful action towards their lover both men and women. Why cannot we learn to be faithful towards our lover? We are human, a God creation with the most rational, volition, and conscience. Learn from Layka, human life is all about learning. Never stop learning. See how beautiful of the result of faithful in the end.
I am not only discussing about faithful to our lover, but also to our friend, and our job. Stop back talking behind your friend, bullying them, and using your friends for your own benefits. Go make some best friends. And faithful to your job? faithful mean loyals, I am not talking about working for a company for many years. But what I am saying is everyday you doing your job in office give your 100% effort, that what loyal means about.. And last be faithful to our God, our creator. I admit, I have forgotten him, and sinned. But He reminds me of him using his own unique way. We all have ever make some mistakes in our life, But God is faithful to us. We are still allowed to pray, and talk to Him. That's how faithful God to us, find your peace in what you believe in. Start praying, and talks to God. Be faithful to Him.
When bad things happen in our life, It does not means that God punishes you, but He tries to remind us. We are walking in the wrong way. We all have our own problem, but trust me Let go, and Let God. God is bigger than our problem.
So in the end of my writting today please be faithful, to your God, lover, friends, family, and job. It does not harm you, when you being faithful.

Dedicated to all of The Wars Dog in the World, Layka and Staff Sergeant Julian McDonald
